Youth’s Convicted of Attempted Murder

Three defendants have been convicted for their part in a shooting in East London last May. The victim was shot through the back with a sawn-off shotgun and stabbed with a machete. Following a month-long trial at the Central Criminal Court, the first two defendants were convicted of attempted murder. The third defendant was convicted of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. All three were convicted of possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life, and possession of a bladed article. Sentence has been adjourned to April.
