Three Defendants Sentenced for Participation in a Shooting in East London

At the Central Criminal Court, two men convicted of attempted murder were today sentenced to 19 years’ imprisonment. The third defendant was sentenced to 9 years’ imprisonment for an alternative offence of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. The case arose out of a shooting in broad daylight on a busy street in May 2024. The victim suffered life-changing and life-threatening injuries. All Defendants were also sentenced to 9 years’ imprisonment concurrent for firearms offences, and 2 years’ imprisonment for possessing the knife used to stab the victim.
