£100m Cocaine Plotters Guilty of Fishing Boat Smuggling Bid

Two men have been convicted at Truro Crown Court for attempting to smuggle over a tonne of cocaine into the UK using a fishing boat. The wholesale value of the drugs was over £35 million. Two other men had earlier pleaded guilty. All four will be sentenced on 8 May 2025.
The case was investigated by the NCA and Frederick Hookway was instructed for the prosecution by the Serious Economic Organised Crime and International Directorate unit of the CPS.
