Phoebe defended a man charged with multiple rape offences and controlling and coercive behaviour. These allegations were made following the breakdown of a relationship.
Prosecution of attempted murder following the stabbing of a 13 year schoolboy
Led by Frederick Hookway, Phoebe prosecuted a youth for stabbing another schoolboy 17 times on his way to school. The defendant was ultimately convicted of attempted murder, having pleaded guilty to a s.18 offence and then attempted to vacate this plea.
Rape & Controlling & Coercive Behaviour
Sarah Forshaw KC leading Phoebe Bragg defended this trainee solicitor accused of rape and controlling and coercive behaviour over the course of an intimate relationship. James Martin led Phoebe Bragg in this 4 week case involving surveillance evidence and evidence of “encro chat” devices. The defendant was accused of being the head of an organised criminal network trafficking large quantities of class A & B drugs and involved expert evidence regarding the use of “encro chat” as well as significant legal argument regarding bad character evidence.
International 'Phishing' Fraud
Jeffery Israel led Phoebe Bragg in this 5 month case involving over 250,000 pages of evidence. Defendants accused of international ‘phishing’ fraud and subsequent money laundering. Vast quantities of banking and telephone evidence as the monies were layered from the UK, onto Nigeria via China, giving rise to multi-jurisdictional issues and disclosure requests.
Multi-handed conspiracy to defraud the immigration authorities
