Olivia is a specialist advocate with experience of serious and complex cases, both defending and prosecuting.
She has substantial experience representing and cross-examining young and vulnerable witnesses. She is often instructed in cases with particular sensitivity and has an established practice in cases involving serious violent and sexual offences. Olivia has a growing financial crime practice and is presently instructed by the Serious Fraud Office in a pre-charge matter.
Olivia can read the courtroom and is known for her ability to communicate effectively with juries. Her speeches have been described by the judiciary as focused, punchy and persuasive. She delivers excellent client care and quickly builds trust and rapport. She is frequently instructed to represent children charged with serious offences.
Olivia has acted as led junior and junior alone in a wide range of serious criminal matters. She is a Grade 3 CPS advocate on the General Crime, Serious Crime and Fraud panels.
Prior to commencing practice, Olivia worked as a criminal litigation paralegal at a leading criminal defence firm, Corker Binning, specialising in fraud and regulatory work.
